Ludwig Engel is a futurologist and urban researcher. He studied economics, cultural studies and communications science in Berlin, Shanghai and Frankfurt/Oder and now dedicates his time to teaching, exhibitions, publications and consulting projects with a focus on urban utopia, long-term strategic planning and the pressing questions of the digital age. He was part of Daimler AG‘s Society and Technology Research Group, is one of the founding members of the Interdisciplinary Forum on Neuro-Urbanism, and is co-editor of „Speculations. Transformations. Thoughts on the Future of Germany’s Cities and Regions“ and other anthologies on the subjects of the city of the future, artificial intelli- gence and social transformation.
